Nothing in the Prevention Serum comes from animals — not a single ingredient — and nothing is ever tested on them.
It’s safe around them, too. Minoxidil is toxic to cats — and not just if they lick the bottle. Residue on your hands, your pillowcase, the towel you used — a cat that curls up where you slept and grooms itself can get enough to make it seriously ill, sometimes fatally. It carries none of that risk. You can keep them on the counter and never worry about your cat or dog.
Beauty and wellness should never come at a cost — to you, or to the animals you love.

One serum, one 30-second routine, once a day before bed. Apply the Prevention Serum — one dropperful to your scalp, parted in 2–3 sections, directly on the scalp (not your hair). Massage it in for 30 seconds and let it absorb.
Your scalp repairs itself during sleep. Blood flow increases, cell regeneration peaks. The serum works with that cycle overnight.
Based On Your Answers And The Trial, Here’s What To Expect
Week 0
Where you are now
Every wash is a test you’re afraid to fail. You check the drain, you feel the ponytail, you look at your part in the wrong light. Here’s exactly what happens next.
Weeks 1–4
You won’t see anything yet, and that’s normal
This is where people give up, so know it now. Right now the balance is tipped the wrong way — too much of your hair finishing, not enough growing. AnaGain is tipping it back, and RootBioTec is feeding the base of each follicle so the empty ones can start again.
It’s all happening under your scalp. Nothing shows on the surface for a few weeks because nothing has surfaced yet.
Weeks 4–6
Wash day stops being the bad day
Now the balance has moved, and this is the first place it shows. More of your hair is in the growing phase, so less of it is finishing and falling. Less in the drain, less in the brush, less on your clothes. Shedding down as much as 68% in the study1.
Weeks 8–12
Short hairs at your part
Everything AnaGain moved back into growing has been growing this whole time. Now it reaches the surface. Not breakage — new growth, all one length, standing straight up.
Weeks 12–16
Your ponytail feels like it used to
And it comes back thick rather than fine, because Capixyl works on what gets built. You tie it up and it’s fuller in your hand than it’s been in years. Your part narrows.

For every woman told it’s just her age 🤍
This started with my mom, back in 2020.
She’d tie her hair up and there’d be nothing in her hand. So she stopped tying it up. Then she stopped wearing it down, because you could see her scalp.
She asked me about it, and I gave her the same answer she’d had from everyone else. Be patient, it’s your age.
That was wrong. And I’m a dermatologist — I should have known better.
Here’s what I found when I actually went and looked.
Almost nothing in this category has been tested on women her age. The trial that got minoxidil approved for women capped at forty-nine. Not one of them was through menopause. And the ingredient studies everyone quotes were run on men in their twenties and thirties.
So the entire shelf was built on evidence from people who aren’t her, and sold to her anyway.
And nobody tests the bottle. They test one ingredient in a lab, then sell you a formula that ingredient is barely in. That’s why results are so wildly inconsistent, and why women end up with a drawer full of things that did nothing.
That’s what I built this against.
Two years of reading everything, testing formulas, throwing most of them out. Then I tested the finished thing, which almost nobody does. An independent lab counted every strand, by hand. Not a survey. Counted. And we published it.
There’s maybe a handful of studies in menopausal women anywhere in this field. Ours is one.
Her hair came back. That’s the whole reason this exists.
And here’s my promise.
Use it every night for ninety nights. If your shedding hasn’t visibly slowed and nothing’s filled in, one email and you get every penny back. Keep the bottle. No forms, no questions, no sending anything anywhere.
I’m not asking you to believe me. You’ve been asked to believe people before.
I’m asking you to give it three months and let your own drain tell you.
Dr. James Kilgour, MDBoard-certified dermatologist
How This Serum Came To Exist
Two years of building it, and the two things that nearly stopped it working.
Everything on that shelf treats hair loss in general. Nothing was built for the one thing that changes after menopause — the growth phase getting cut short.
So supplements feed hair that isn’t underfed, shampoos rinse off in ninety seconds, and a shorter cut removes hair to make hair look fuller. None of them touch how long a hair grows, because none of them were ever aimed at it.
That’s what I built this for.
You can have exactly the right actives and still get nothing. That’s the part almost nobody talks about.
The part of the follicle that decides how long a hair grows sits at the very bottom of it — and most of what you put on your scalp never gets past the opening at the top. So an ingredient that works beautifully in a lab does nothing on a real head, because it never arrives.
That’s the problem I spent most of those two years on. The liposomal delivery came out of my time at Stanford — the actives are wrapped so they’re carried through the barrier instead of sitting on top of it.
In an independent permeation study, six times more active was delivered than by a competing serum.2
Results in this category are wildly inconsistent, and the reason is that nobody tests the finished bottle — they borrow their proof from ingredients studied in a lab.
So I ran it two ways.
First, exactly as you’d use it. Women at home, nightly, for four months. Not a lab applying it to a patch of skin — the real routine, in a real bathroom.
Second, with something you could actually count. The lab washed their hair, collected every strand that came out, dried them and counted them by hand. Then sorted them by length, because it matters which ones you’re losing.
And two dermatologists graded the regrowth, independently, with no involvement in the study.

Based On Your Profile, Here’s Why What You’ve Tried Hasn’t Worked
After menopause your growth phase gets cut short — each hair finishes sooner, and more of them finish at once.3 4 5 6 7 Here’s why the usual fixes were never going to touch that.
The claim: Feed your hair the vitamins it’s missing and it grows back stronger.
The truth: Biotin only does anything if you’re actually low on it — and severe deficiency in people eating a normal diet has never been reported. That’s the NIH’s own wording. Your hair isn’t finishing early because it’s underfed, and a vitamin can’t lengthen a growth phase. When researchers tested biotin against a dummy pill, both groups grew the same amount of hair. The skin doctors’ own board says plainly it shouldn’t be used for hair loss.
And there’s a second problem. Biotin interferes with lab tests — the FDA issued a safety communication about it, and the panel it distorts most is thyroid and ferritin. Which is the exact panel your doctor ran when you went in about your hair.
Journal of Clinical & Aesthetic Dermatology, 2024; NIH Office of Dietary Supplements; FDA safety communication, 2017.
The claim: The one FDA-approved drug for women’s hair loss.
The truth: Its own NIH page opens by saying the precise mechanism remains inadequately understood — after forty years. What it does do is shorten the resting phase, so the next hair starts sooner. That’s why it makes you shed harder for the first two months; the same page lists that as a side effect.
But your problem isn’t that your hair takes too long to restart. It’s that once it starts, it doesn’t grow for long enough. And the trial that got minoxidil approved for women was 381 women aged eighteen to forty-nine — not one of them was through menopause. It also needs an enzyme in your scalp to convert it, which a lot of women don’t have enough of. Stop, and you’re back within a few months.
NIH StatPearls; Lucky et al., Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 2004.
The claim: Put the actives straight on your scalp and they get to work.
The truth: It’s the same problem as a supplement, just at the other end. With a pill, some of it gets absorbed and most of it doesn’t. With a serum, some of it gets through your scalp and most of it sits on top.
Because the part of the follicle that decides how long a hair grows is at the very bottom of it, and your scalp’s outer layer is built to keep things out. Researchers say most of what you apply never gets past the opening at the top — for minoxidil, roughly 1.4% is absorbed through an intact scalp.8
So it isn’t enough for the right active to be in the bottle. It has to arrive. That’s why ours are wrapped in liposomes that carry them through the barrier instead of leaving them on it.
Hair follicle-targeting drug delivery strategies for the management of hair follicle-associated disorders, PMC9237597.
The claim: Drink your collagen and rebuild the foundation your hair grows from.
The truth: Your hair is keratin, not collagen — and your body digests the powder long before any of it could reach your scalp. Where those amino acids end up is decided by your body, and follicles are last in the queue. The Cleveland Clinic says there’s no strong evidence collagen grows hair in people; the hopeful results come from cells in a dish and mice. It helps skin and nails. Not this.
Cleveland Clinic.
The claim: Target the root causes of thinning from the inside out.
The truth: A major review in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology concluded there isn’t enough evidence to recommend the vitamins and minerals these are built on. And underneath that: your loss is at the follicle, and a pill has to cross your whole body and hope a trace arrives. None of it changes how long a hair stays growing.
